Or are you all just gonna site there and munch on your crisps, gulp yer poisonous coke a cola and binge watch seasons 1- 2 & 3 of the latest "pacify the masses " pish entertainment.

They are censoring stuff - freedom of speech about vaccines, about Magna Carta, about loads of stuff... and we are doing nothing...
I dont wan't to predict stuff and end up being right about it.... but if we don't do something the elite will take all our rights away and soon we wont even have the right to garden your own crops.... Its already happening in California....look it up if you don't believe me I cant be arsed doing repeat research for the sleepy sheep.

I am also noticing that most people over the age of 40 just want a peaceful life and they cant be arsed to stand up for their rights.... If you are one of those people  then you're just as bad as the corrupt 1% who are destroying out planet.

I am so sick and tired of all of this conspiracy theory bullshit.

I am sick of being labelled a 'sheep', a TV watching moron, an illiterate idiot who can't be bothered to read, a junk food scoffing layabout and all the other crap that's being thrown at anyone who doesn't agree with the various theories being thrown around on the internet.  My son has complex needs and will be inside until there is a vaccine or a suitable treatment for this virus.  Catching it will most likely be fatal for him, and he doesn't score enough points on the Fraility Index to be given a ventilator should he need one.  They will also most likely pressure me to sign a DNR on his behalf as well.  What about his rights to leave the house, enjoy good health and avoid ending it prematurely right now?  Every bit of conspiracy theory I have read can easily be argued against by a dozen different studies.  The whole 5G thing was disproved simply by checking dates and including pandemic information that had been omitted - and it had been omitted because it meant the theory no longer worked.  And people who don't find it valid are the lazy ones?  I don't think so.

There are hundreds of books about vaccine danger, Freedom of Speech, Magna Carta, every topic you can think of - in book shops and libraries, freely available.  The 'censorship' that you're all banging on about is nothing more than privately run companies protecting the interests of their shareholders.  Ironically, the very people talking constantly about freedom and their civil liberties are all very firmly plugged into the grid, sharing everything they do via a network of tech companies who've caused huge environmental damage, pushed smaller companies out of business and who, for the most part, don't pay taxes.  And yes, I have got evidence to support all of this and no, I'm not going to post it here, because "I can't be arsed doing repeat research for the sleepy sheep".

All that's happened is the entire population is getting a taste of life as a disabled person in this country - health risks when you leave the house, difficulty accessing employment, public transport, social activities, not being able to see friends and family, routine appointments being a huge problem to attend, low income, difficulties claiming benefits and benefits not being enough to live on.  Welcome to my world.  Millions of people in this country live like this all the time and I'm sick to the back to teeth of the entitlement of a small group of perfectly fit and healthy people jumping up and down about their 'civil liberties' because they're being asked to do their bit to protect vulnerable people from a very unpleasant and lonely death and the unceremonious farewell of a basic cremation or a mass grave.

Here's the full list of things my son and I can't do right now:

Attend our health care appointments
Visit the cinema once a week
Go to the library once a week.

That's it.  That's all we get to do under normal circumstances.  We can't do that, and we won't be able to do that until it's safe for him, which will be considerably longer than it's safe for most other people.  We will need a vaccine or a treatment.  We are constantly isolated, that's normal for us, and my main source of contact is always the internet, most of which I can't access now because every third post is some conspiracy theory twat whining on about their rights when all they've been asked to do is avoid non-essential journeys and wash their bloody hands.

You don't need to take to the streets to protest.  You can do it by avoiding companies that don't pay their taxes, avoiding large chains and unethical banks, only buying Fairtrade, voting for parties that will actually look after their people - Jacinda Ardern has shown everyone how this crisis could have been handled and barely broke into a sweat doing it. That's what happens when a population votes for a party that focuses on people looking out for one another.  The elite haven't taken anything away, people have given away their rights in exchange for shiny gadgets, 'free speech' on Facebook and a sea of white faces.  There have been clear links established between these conspiracy theories and far right groups - do the research!

What I'm seeing right now is ableism - the view that fit and healthy people should have more rights than those with disabilities or infirmity.  Millions of people in this country hardly ever leave their houses, see another person, talk to anyone.  They're forgotten and ignored, and will continue to be once everyone else is back to their normal life.  Keep us locked up so everyone else can wander about at will doing things they don't need to do while we get to miss out on the few basics we do manage and our routine health treatments that keep our pain under manageable levels.  Fuck that and fuck this conspiracy bullshit, I'm sick to the back teeth of it.  All I'm seeing are millions of people sticking to the rules for the sake of other people, while a smaller number are behaving like teenagers who've been grounded and are having a nervous breakdown about missing the school disco, putting everyone else at risk while they do it.

Also just realised that all of this should be on the 'Other Side of Covid' thread which is where we've been discussing conspiracy theories; this thread was set up to provide FACT BASED INFORMATION to help those of us having to manage complex health problems at the moment, kindly arranged by other forum members - is it possible for all of this to be moved to the other thread so that we keep this one fact based only?
