Sitting in the sunshine, listening to the chickens making their happy little noises as they hunt out crunchy beetles to eat, and enjoying a bag of Tesco chewy banana slices.
It doesn't get much better.

I have watched this (it's only 16 seconds long) about a dozen times and laugh each time.

Found what looks like a very tasty looking iveco daily. shiny red 2004 kitted out as a camper, guy is selling it on a french site but saw my search on an expat forum. Needs a bit of welding, like most vans for mot and he sent me pics of the welding needed which is not much. He was willing to drop from 4K to 2.5 which appeared to be a great price. Got the reg number off him to do a history check and last mot was in 2008 !!! Makes me and my few years look like an amature ๐
If I did not have to go to the uk then I would have been tempted as it looks gorgeous, but even though he claims it to be in great health who knows what could be wrong with it !!
Have emailed him and asked him for his story as I am very impressed !!
I was seriously tempted though as she is as shiny red as mine and looks really classy but too much risk with the unknown and if he did not tell me that the mot was out by 12 to 13 years then what else !! In fact from his message I gathered that the mot was a recent failure.
Cant wait to hear his excuses. Man did I laugh when I went to the mot history check and saw 2008 :-)

In my limited experience ,not many people sell vehicles because they are good , and it brings out the lieing capabilities of an estate agent in the seller . Most car salesmen are aspiring estate agents , honing their fibbing skills till one day ,wallop ! nice desk job in a high street and a special camera. My simple pleasure today will be a long walk in the hilly woodland that surrounds us . Sun on my head , birds singing , deer in the shadows and Rani biting my leg for treats ! What could be better

Had email back this morning saying that it was defo mot'd up to 2019. I have typed in his reg three times on the mot history check and it keeps saying 2009 (Not 2008 which I wrote earlier). Have typed in my reg and that comes up correctly. Could someone on here when you have a mot try typing in KE54AVY on the mot history check for me please so I can be sure that its not a problem coming from this end. No hurry as am cleaning the house where I have been working so will nip down and check the computer periodically. Thanks. xx
Simple pleasure is I am listening to the 99 best adaggio's whilst working. Very nice too :-)

Which engine does the iveco have fitted Mon Ami? 2.8 or 3.0 are both good but the 3.0 has a can chain instead of a belt. Not sure about the smaller 2.3 but haven't heard any horror stories. Re welding, check out the early videos posted by Ash on YouTube, channel is called Lost In Europe. He runs an Iveco van, but had to virtually rebuild the floor at the start of his build. Still reckon they're one of the better vans out there, plus not many 3.5 tonners as big as the lab version... Hope the day finds you well my friend...๐ป๐

Cheers BB, I think it is the 2.3 and the welding needs doing on the four outriggers though it does not look too bad at all. I have sent an email to a contact of my brothers who runs a welding enterprise to ask his thoughts. The van herself looks really nice and quite posh. Another prob that has come up and would need to be addressed before a long journey is that he said the cambelt was done 30K ago, though looking at the mot history which I found by wearing my glasses and typing in the correct number KE54 AYY ( good job I didnt call him a twunt ! ) the van was on that mileage about ten years ago so in my mind is knocking on snappings door !!
167K on the clock and very tidy looking camper, albeit would need to change it to suit me. He has dropped from the 4K that he is asking on the net for spares and repair to 2.5K in euros so about 2.3K sterling !! It looks like a van that should have a good 5K price on it but have not seen it in person. Its maybe 150 to 200 miles out of my way and I would have to abandon the dragon there if I have it, but am giving thought to going over to have a look.
Have asked him to consider my situation and to give a bit of thought to everything that needs doing on it and to get back to me as I would not be best pleased if I put 400 miles on the clock to go and find problems that he may not have mentioned. Will keep you guys updated, but I do lean towards a nice and shiny red van. Its the sort of vehicle one can be proud of. Then of course I will have to get another red dragon sticker made up to go on the front :-)
