Spanish Flu killed 228,000 in uk and over 50 million globally approx.These were only the notified deaths .Airborne virus that could kill a human within 12 hours.This latest virus at least seems to be slower in fatal effect,at least in the healthy.Google Spanish flu.it is very similar,

Yes and most of those Spanish flu deaths were preventable had they left the soldiers who had it in quarantine but they sent them all home and spread it right across Europe.

Told a number of folk this morning why I was getting stuff in and they just looked gone out and smiled. If we start having locked down towns and empty shelves it could be nasty due to ignorance and bloody apathy. Folks need to be looking to get stuff in now to be ready for that but I'm beginning to feel a Hagrid head coming on and say 'fck them'.
One turn up for the books, older snobby commie sister is having a slice of humble pie this morning and is doing a big shop after emailing me after seeing the Beebs finally reporting what's happening. She's in poor health and is a carer for her disabled hubby.

The Docs vid that I posted has him thinking that it may have done so in Iran but he's not got the info. It's good to listen to him as he's factual and concise despite having uncorroborated info which he won't divulge. |

The more hosts it infects the greater chance of it mutating to something more virulent and changing its transmissibility...if it became a pneumonic plague a lot more would die than the current 2% fatality rate.

This is the problem,no one takes any notice of anything except the usual celeb shite. When they wake up theyll be fighting each other. |

If you assume theres a 1 to 2% fatality rate so far for Covid-19 and theres been 61 cases officially and 51 deaths in Iran already that suggests either 3000 to 6000 cases overall not 61 or something there is responsible for much higher % fatality rate than elsewhere.
Since 80% of people are not seriously affected and dont need hospitalisation whats causing the higher fatality rate in Iran?. 50 deaths out of 61 cases is over 80% fatality rate...is it a more virulent strain? Or the figures are wrong Something doesnt add up.

Theres a lot of Iranians and Chinese in Canada and travel back and forth.China does a lot of trade with Iran si bound to be plenty folks travelling between the two.
