The woman who died is a bit of a mystery apparently, they can't identify any known contact that she has had with an affected person. Which is a bit worrying Thats part of the problem. If an infected person immediately came out in purple facial spots identification and containment would be easy.Carriers may not outwardly show visible symptoms for up to 2 weeks,or not at all and initially it shows as cold/flu like symptoms.Only people it impacts on with severe respiratory issues are likely to seek medical help and be notified,

I am both worried and concerned for you cris that you do not believe what the government tell you for everyone knows that they are concerned only for our welfare and are not self serving dicks who want money and power. Shame on you for even thinking that :-o Im disappointed in myself that i cannot believe anything our glorious state propaganda television service broadcasts....my bad

I do wonder about how many undiagnosed cases there are. A caller to LBC said her son had been through two international airports to Budapest. On return he had covid19 symptoms. Yet he was refused a test, because Budapest isn't on the sensitive country list. A lot of passengers arrive here via connecting flights from third party airlines because direct flights dont exist. It doesnt seem that the authorities can connect the dots very well.

Which is a bit worrying There seems to be a number of cases globally with no obvious traceable infection route on contact with infected areas which suggests its spread more widely than officially acknowledged.

It seems from news reports that Brits have taken up the Ozzie trend of hoarding toilet rolls, and another uniquely Brit trend of stealing medical wipes and antimicrobial soap from hospitals. Panic panic panic www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-51737030

People have had a month to prepare and it would have been easier if the government had said what was coming and had advised accordingly. Yes, they would have emptied the shelves back then but there would have been a 'cushion' of time to restock before the pregnant moment which we are at now. The scum profiteers are at full blast on a number of items with silly money being wanted for basic needs. I would like to see them punished and exposed for the filth that they are. My biggest concern is the large gatherings which are being allowed to run such as Crufts (sponsors are not attending tho) and the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Two venues where it only takes one carrier to spread future havoc. Same with schools. Other countries are shutting theirs yet out so-called advisors are saying stay open. IMHO it's money-driven.
Saw empty shelves in Tesco today, no liquid soap or toilet rolls.

It's now two deaths in the UK. A man in his 80s has died, he had underlying health issues.

A lot of the trouble comes from the mixed messages coming from the government,as is evident in this report on food supplies. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-51775980
