Afternoon all and my apologies for posting this here second as have popped it up on another site,but thought that it would be a good thread to pop up here too.
Afternoon lovely hippies :-)
Please do not respond with the answer " nothing " with ragards to what is great about britain as that is complete bullshit as the uk has many reasons why it can have great in its name. Anyone who can not see the great things there should get out more and discover what is great about it.
This thread just came to mind when Cris was and I were exchanging messages about strict gun control in the uk and I thought that it is really great that britain regulates this with severity.
So come on,a moment to think about the things that you love about Good old GB.
I love wales very much for its national identity and how we all get behind our national rugby team with a great feeling of togetherness as we are being one of the best in the world at something which is great for a country of 3million. I love that we have more castles per square kilometre than anywhere else in the world,and are the only country in the world that has a footpath for the entirity of its coast and that we have letters in our alphabet like LL , ch and DD.
I also love the diversity of the culture in Great britain and how many great experiences this opens upto us with beliefs,music,arts and food to name but a very few.
What do you guys love about Britain and please try and keep it a positive and happy thread people.

Indeed BB son of BB there is much beautiful scenery to be enjoyed in great britain with the rain adding to its greeness and as for fish and chips,who else can match that as a national dish !!
Seriously,forgs legs and snails just dont do it for me here in france!!! If I must be honest I have never been down to the frogs legs takeaway when I have been hungry :-)

I speak the language! I know it seems silly, as obviously it's my first language (no, honestly it is) but I couldn't live somewhere I couldn't properly communicate with people.
For as much as some say this country is finished, it's becoming like the third world ect I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

I live in France because it offers me a good healthy dose of work,mountains,nature and freedom of the road as well as being able to live pretty much an invisible life,but not for one second will I say that I love france more than Britain. They have both got their qualities though I will always feel more brit than french,but then again being born and growing up in wales with an english mum and french dad may well swing my choice that way !! Though saying that,France offers me so much more for how I want to live !!
Communication does make a big difference Vw and I would certainly not enjoy life as much here if I could not speak the lingo !

most of the people the landscape in England, Scotland an Wales the weather sometimes.and we drive on the right side of the road well left really but you know what i mean

Britain is still comparatively free from corruption. Its no way perfect don't get me wrong but compared to most European countries around the Med. we are much better. Compared to the old Eastern Bloc countries we are streets ahead.
Then if you look at much of the rest of the world you realise Britain is pretty good
