I knew it was bad, but this is just catastrophic. Worth it own thread. T 'perfect storm' of years of drought and high winds spreading the flames have made the fires far worse than any other year.

i cannot see how they can tackle a load of fire,s this big i feel for them an wish them all the best where is god with a good rain storm when you want one

i,m sure it said up to 500 million animals could have been killed when it shown the extent of the fire,s in relation to size of England it was hard to believe

Part of the problem around Melbourne apparently is that residential development has resulted in the planting of thousands of trees to make the areas more gentrified and fashionable.
Unfortunately said trees burn
