Seems like quite a few people on sainsburys page have complained about rotten stinking Turkeys, maybe theyre best thrown away 😷 That's a fair point. Why leave them on the shelf at all then? Just get rid of the lot. The real shame is these birds have probably not lived the best of lives destined to be eaten and no one along the line has cared enough to even keep them fit to eat at the end of it and will just end up as garbage.Waste of life waste of meat....all about the money as usual. They obviously made enough profit to give them away for 25p or throw them away. How many folks could have afforded one if they hadnt profiteered from them? No way i could have bought one.

I can remember some years back having a free-range bronze turkey from a local who only kept them for a few years then stopped as it wasn't viable and it was damn expensive but tasted excellent, hard to describe but it was a different taste to what you get from supermarkets.
Yes, I enjoy meat but feel guilty when I read or see articles on factory farming or animal abuse as all that we eat should be respected and looked after even though it's for the plate and applies to veggies too. We are what we eat.

The least that can be done if an animal gives it's life is to ma su I gets eaten. Chucking it in the bin just isn't an option.
