Hello everyone and wishing you all a very merry christmas.
There has been lots of moaning about the negative side of christmas and I understand the disliking of the commercial side, but as it is xmas eve how about we put aside that now and contribute towards the magic of christmas and the christmas spirit and share what we enjoy about the christmas holidays !
I am currently listening to very jolly christmas carols on youtube and emailing friends and family wishing them all the best for the festive season whilst just chilling out and putting aside any of the more serious aspects to life for a couple of days. I have been enjoying a couple of feel good christmas spirit films and have been enjoying walking down the sea front looking at the few but very pretty classy lights and decorations they have put up.
What parts of the holidays do you enjoy?
Please people, remember this is not the bah humbug thread, but one where it gives people a chance to share the love and for people to click on and receive the love so come on,what do you like about the fetive season?
Love and christmas lights to all
fly xxxx

Quiet day tomorrow and then to daughter's for boxing day family thing. Best of all? My daughter is working Friday so we are left with the small ones. A great time to play with all the toys etc without other disapproving adults looking on. Plus we are going to cook a leftover dinner for her coming home from work as a wee surprise!

No matter where we are or how we live,we still have the gift of choice. emmm old chinese proverb maybe!!!!
Philosophy aside, wishing everyone peace and love not only over this christmas period but well into the future and always. And if nothing else appears positive to you,at least you can get a few mince pie's if you visit the right establishments :-) There is always a positive to be found.
Happy crimbo hippies xx

Every year my christmas ritual is to watch scrooged with bill murray on christmas eve. I watch a few good crimbo films over the period and have already watched home alone one and two,get santa, and deck the halls, but scrooged has been a favourite for years and gets top billing every christmas eve.
If you have never seen it,do try and do it. good christmas story, with good humour and a lovely feel good finish.xx

Been out, picked up my sister from the hospital. I decided that I am being far too stressy at the moment, so took her to the supermarket on the way home, though I said that I wouldn't. Tomorrow I will be going to my son's I laws with him and his family. Yay to getting Iris out, and will take my dogs for a good romp by the river as they are close by. 😍

Just a wee aside. Had to shut computer down whilst writing last piece. Another devil child arrived unannounced with a whole load of gifts for her children. Christmas paper, sellotape and scissors came too. So I have spent the last while helping wrap presents for her children! I mean, really? Oops! Promised myself to be full of good cheer until at least the weekend. Message to self - must try harder
