Plants feel pain too! Researchers find an ultrasonic 'scream' is emitted when stems are cut or if species are not watered enough
Researches recorded tomato and tobacco plants from ten centimeters away They cut the stems of some plants and deprived others of water for several days They found plans emitted as much as 35 distress sounds per hour in response Normal plants produce less than one ultrasonic sound per hour
Everything IMO has a 'soul' and this fact about plants has been raised before but is there another answer to sprouts at Christmas.
In order for any species to survive another species must suffer, fact of nature. Dunno why Vegans/Veggies seem to think they have the moral high ground, bit like saying its ok to eat fish cos you can't stroke a fish....
Tales of the unexpected for anyone who remembers it! series 4 taken from wikipedia
41 7 "The Sound Machine" John Gorrie Written by: Roald Dahl Dramatisation by: Ronald Harwood TBA James Warwick (Dr Scott), Harry Andrews (Klausner), Margery Mason (Mrs Saunders) 17 May 1981 A botanist has invented a machine that translates the sound of plants into speech. What he hears gives him a shock.
Same purpose as humans screaming i guess,or why they produce colour frequencies only visible to insects and birds that we cant see....what purpose is human male pattern balding or cancer? what's the purpose of humans having a huge brain but only uses 10% of it and watches soaps and other inane tv. Vegetables and plants are probably at least as intelligent as average humans, looking at most of my species id say theyre streets ahead.
