A dilemma for sensitive vegans maybe.
Everything IMO has a 'soul' and this fact about plants has been raised before but is there another answer to sprouts at Christmas.

In order for any species to survive another species must suffer, fact of nature. Dunno why Vegans/Veggies seem to think they have the moral high ground, bit like saying its ok to eat fish cos you can't stroke a fish....

Not far from where I live there is a mulberry tree that is dying for a drink of water. I can see how the leaves are drooping and curling up.Cruelty to plants!

Everything in nature has evolved for a purpose. What purpose is served by a plant screaming?

Same purpose as humans screaming i guess,or why they produce colour frequencies only visible to insects and birds that we cant see....what purpose is human male pattern balding or cancer? what's the purpose of humans having a huge brain but only uses 10% of it and watches soaps and other inane tv. Vegetables and plants are probably at least as intelligent as average humans, looking at most of my species id say theyre streets ahead.

yes but biologically, screaming is our distress call to warn other humans of danger so they can take avoiding action. It’s not easy to see what avoiding action a plant can take
