If you have decided to be a hermit or a hermitess ,what made you choose this way of life.Sometimes human interaction can get too complicated for peace of mind,be that people with agendas or authoritarion rules and regulations or perhaps solitude is a choice as a path to introspection and spiritual enlightenment.Is this way of life healthy ,as statistics indicate hermits have a shorter lifespan than highly social persons.How is lonely perceived or is it even present in a hermits mind.

Because folks piss me off or disgust me too much,most especially the 'normies' but even people I once thought I vaguely had something in common with like hippy alternatives.
I dont hate people at all,Im just not on the same wavelength,have little in common with or they or their views just plain revulse me.
I prefer animals to humans.
I disagree that 'hermit' lifespan is statistically shorter.
It may well be true that folks who are older,lonely and live alone have poor life expectancy, I think folks who choose the lifestyle and are used to isolation and being off grid are far better able to survive and have a better mental attitude to living alone.
Maybe theres an element of self preservation or of avoiding contamination from the toxic mainstream life.
