Meccano the metal variety, even though it was second hand, but building tower cranes and vehicles, even had a clockwork motor for driving stuff. Took so long putting all those nuts and bolts together, but great fun

I usually get invited to my son's family, and usually turn it down. A couple of years ago I accepted the invitation, and went to his parents'in law with them. They hadn't really expected me to turn up as I generally ditch it at the last minute, due to anxiety attacks, but this time I did turn up with various gifts.
The gifts also caught them by surprise. 😁
This year I have accepted again, and will only be taking a card, as that is all that I can afford. I fully expect though, that they will have lots of generic gifts for me this time, so I will redistribute them to various relatives when I get back. Sorted! 😎😁
