Well I have a not humbug tale to tell  Someone near us is opening their house up to anyone on their own this Christmas; this lovely lady has got space for fifteen people and is happy to cook them a Christmas lunch, provide them with drinks and a gift and invite them to spend the afternoon watching Christmas movies and the Queen's Speech if they want to. She's doing it all of her own back and out of her own money because she says she's aware how lucky she is to be able to and she doesn't want anyone to be by themselves. She's also offering to sort out lifts for people if they can't get their under their own steam. I thought that was so lovely and is what Christmas should be about as far as I'm concerned I expect I will be grumbling about something Christmas related again tomorrow, though Lol |

What a nice lady she sounds. Just hoping she doesn't get taken advantage of by someone. Lovely gesture as not everyone who is alone actually wants to be alone....

Ah, and I'm not bah humbugging again; The Round Table do Santa on a Sleigh and come round all the estates round here, the kids were all outside waiting for him and then chased him up the road (in a nice way, not to thump him one ). It was really cute, I love that bit about Christmas. |
