well as i have put on here before them tossers decided i would have to wait for my pension till jan 2020 instead may 2019 when i was 65 so i will also miss out on that winter fuel payout bugger bugger Its not age dependent.its low income dependent.Just fill in the form and apply, they may say no,but you may be surprised..I wasnt eligible a few years ago I thought until I got a call from my supplier saying it was recorded I kept running out of leccy on the prepayment meter and as i am on leccy for all they just gave it me.There is an element of discretion they use.Fill in the online form from your energy supplier.

What if you don't have an energy supplier?

What if you don't have an energy supplier? Government benefits claimants and older and vulnerable persons would be entitled to it anyway I think as notified low income, but if you do not claim benefits and have no energy supplier I suppose it is then assumed help is not needed.

Well pardon me government, for not being a burden on the state...

For those of us who do not qualify to be "a burden on the state",who incidentally have just wasted billions on the Brexit shambles,I guess its back to chucking up a cable to hijack a pylon line and picking up found sticks.
