I have a 32" sony crt telly that works brilliantly and I cant give it away.Even advertised it on recycling forums. I think I even offered peeps money£5. I know I will have takers if I offer more but the chances are I will find the telly on the side of the road.
Now you think its just a case of taking it to the council dump. Let me tell you this beast of a thing weighs a ton and refuses to move. It loves where it has been squatting fo the past ten years and is perefectly happy being left alone. Its a trannaysaur of the home entertainment world. Im thinking of putting a time capsule in it- my ashes too. Let alien archiologists figure it out in a million or two years..[/rant]

Why get rid of it if it works? see thats thats the arguement the telly uses on me..The answe is I dont know. I have quite a modest bucket list with very few items. Would you want to deprive an old man of this one simple pleasure. I could fill the spot with a fast growing advocade tree or cheese plant.

I had one of them fuckin things a few years ago. Best tv I ever had, but took 2 big misters to move the cowing thing & it broke my sack truck!....

You didnt ask what has replaced it and im not going to tell you. Though I will say the village came out to see it and approved , But we know what a fickle bunch they are

I had a plasma tv once,it needed a forklift to shift it. Id love another as theyre still the best colour rendering tvs but ive no room, or anything that will support its weight,even the floor.
A 4kHD slimline tv is probably a more sensible choice but since i havent had tv for years and dont need the shite they pump out as 'entertainment' interspersed with the gargantuan loads of advertising shite, im in no hurry.
Hope your Sony CRT time capsule finds a loving home.
