I went to see my daughter. She is having her son christened at the weekend, so I didn't stop long as the minister was visiting and my reverend self would likely not be the best to chat.
I'm friendly and respectful of others beliefs, but not prepared to pretend to be other than who I am, and daughter said this minister is a bit extra.

Always better to be yourself and only sensible to keep out of the way if someone is likely to get a bit huffy. It's funny but I often find it's the people who most want to talk about their own particular beliefs or topics of interest (regardless of your interest in any of it) who get the most uptight if you don't agree with them. Fingers crossed the weather is lovely for the christening x

Glad it's feeling better Grace I had the loveliest dream, where I met a really nice man and everything was happy and marvellous. Felt all happy and content when I woke up. Wore off slightly when I realised I was dreaming lol. Then went to Asda and they have Christmas chocolates on the shelves. Snowballs, Santas, Christmas trees, gold coins. August 5th. There is nowhere to hide lol You should go ask where they put the easter eggs as you cant find them ... They always look at you funny like youre mad but having christmas stuff out 6 months early is of course perfectly normal and not weird at all 🤓

I mean I quite often get the days of the week wrong and don't realise till half way through Friday it's actually Saturday but I thought I'd gone to the next stage and lost whole months! Lol. Are there really people who could buy Christmas chocolate now and not eat it? Do they actually exist? Lol

One of the things I really like about Scotland is that people aren't afraid to tell you to bugger off and one of the ladies that works in there is exactly like that, I might ask her and see how many expletives I get It must drive the staff mad? I'd be depressed if I was having to lug Christmas stuff about for half the year. I'm not a big fan of Christmas anyway but I can get a bit excited a couple of weeks beforehand but starting it in August must take the shine off for everybody? I'll have to go back to walking around with my eyes to the floor lol

I've been avoiding the news because I just do these days but obviously have heard others talking about it. I consider these sort of people utterly spineless. They know there's a whole legal framework in place that means the police can't batter them, and the anti-fascist types are, by nature, averse to violence so they wouldn't go in battering people, either. Which means they know they can do this without anyone fighting back physically. I'd lay money if a wall of beefy blokes turned up ready to knock them senseless they'd all run. Shameful behaviour. I hope your D and little one were okay xx

This could be your new found career! You'll have to let us know what she gets xx
