Last night I took a bottle of whisky up to my friends house and we raised a glass to my birthday. Today I am raising two fingers up to our beloved government as I am now officially pension age and they have to pay me; they changed the date twice when I was allowed it, but I refused to die and let them off the hook for the money. Live long and prosper, you all; I fully intend to. 😎 Belated Happy Birthday my dear, enjoy the 'free money'. Looking forward to mine in 18 months if i make it that far. Occ pensions have to do for now but better than working for a living. If we lived in a civilised country that valued its citizens more than billionaires wed have decent pensions like on the continent...Anyway...Enjoy your retirement  |

think that's quite common at the moment Naiwen ... I need to say I can't get into lengthy ongoing conversations about it - because I ain't got the energy, got enough battles going on myself ... BUT - sympathies to you ............... tune into your warrior spirit and whatever is bringing you down - tell it to fuck off, you are not afraid and you are going to LIVE - FOR THE LIGHT .... WE NEED ALL THE GOOD PEOPLE WE CAN FIND ... don't give in, don't give up ....... that's what "they" want ........ keep fighting Naiwen. Much LOVE  |

Sorry to hear you felt like that, Naiwen. We have all been there at some time or another, and the news every day can be overwhelming, and makes things worse. But as Jen says, call up that warrior spirit and find a way around or through whatever is troubling you. That warrior spirit is real, we were taught to call it when I learnt martial arts, many years ago.
As a matter of personal philosophy, I think we are here to learn.
I look at it like we are on a kind of learning course in this very tough little university under the stars. We can flunk the course, but if we do that we will have to give ourselves bad marks, and will very likely have to go through it all again. So stay the course, warrior lady; we are here to help you.

Wow!gen.love them..slowly going back to my arty stuff..I seem to produce my best when I'm in total despair...trying to break a cycle is hard,but trying to find my fun must be worth it🤔

thanks maggie and grace appreciate your supportive comments a lot ... and all the best/following wind behind your own efforts ... more creativity and making beautiful inspiring things in our world, whether it's baking a cake, making a soup, writing a poem, singing a song, playing a tin whistle, cleaning windows, looking after animals, growing stuff in your garden or on your windowsill, mending some broken gear and giving it a new lease of life, giving someone a smile, saying thankyou .... all of it is creative ... caring and not being afraid - but responding to our concern with love and hope ... often not easy, in the face of current pressure on us all - but gotta keep going - and laughing ... loads of LOVE x oops - just "liked" my own sodding post by mistake haha - was trying to say thankyou to someone else - daft bat |
