My sister who lives 300 miles south of here, keeps trying to persuade me to accept seeds so that she has an excuse to shop for them online. Her latest was to virtually insist that she buys me some plant plugs for my birthday later in the month. In vain i argued that my tiny garden has no space among the weeds for anything else. She eventually ordered me a load of hollyhock, Sweet Williams and aubretia ( I think) plugs anyway, arranging for the grower to send them directly to me. A few days ago she rang me to say that the hollyhocks and Sweet Williams had arrived at hers - 300 miles away, remember - so she rang the company who were very apologetic, couldn't understand what had gone wrong as it clearly stated on the order that they were to be sent 'oop north'. They had no more hollyhocks, so sorry, but would send me some Sweet Williams forthwith. Sweet Williams and aubretia arrived at hers today  I hope this will cure her of trying to buy me things I don't need or want. Mind you, I had two packets of posh hollyhock seeds arrive in the post on Thursday, I shall sow them inside and see what I get as I do love these plants.

47/50 with no revision. Mostly common sense, but I've had my cscs card since the 90's & still got caught out on a couple....

47/50 with no revision. Mostly common sense, but I've had my cscs card since the 90's & still got caught out on a couple.... Types of fires and types of fire extinguishers catch me out. Who cares what a type C fire is. If the buildings on fire I’m leaving I’m getting 47 or 48 each time, my revision was just doing a load of the online mock tests. Hopefully it will be as easy tomorrow.

Am having a day off and am currently having a spring clean in the van and am clearing out the storage area’s and getting rid of any tat that I do not want. Whilst doing that I have set up my big speaker and am listening to the last album that I mixed a couple of years back at an event down in the middle of the pyranees. I knew that I was a talented dj in many aspects but listening to this album I am quite amazed with how much better it is than some of the stuff some of the known dance dj’s are playing now. Maybe in the future I will knock out a few more albums to sell when physical work gets too hard. I could actually mix digital albums of all the different genre’s of music on demand and cater to the persons likes as I have got many thousands of albums of many styles in my MP3 collection now. Definately not rap though !!
Its a happy thought knowing that I have another option for my older days. Plenty of gardening and masonry in me before that I would like to think. :-)
Am loving this album though as its very tribal with lots of djembi's, sitars and didge's and some kick arse beats. I think I need to go to a good party soon or start one. Covid permitting of course :-)

I've had a nice walk with the dogs in the warm sunshine this morning, now I'm lying on my bed in Iris. I had Singapore noodles for breakfast and am planning cake for tea, possibly tipsy cake as I will make Julia's favourite. In an hour or so, I shall take the dogs out again for another decent, long walk. They are happy puppers today. 😎
