I've gone full on mad old biddy now and went out litter picking; I've spent all these months out walking complaining about how much rubbish there is so I thought I should do something about it instead of moaning all the time. We filled a bin bag easily, it is mostly disposable food and drink packaging and it's mostly plastic as well. We did see a squirrel sat on a log nibbling an acorn and it was so sweet, he looked like he was having a little picnic lol. Nice one don't understand why people can't take it home mine stays in passenger footwell of car till it gets annoying or daughters or Yolanda moans then gets recycled at home.

Well done givingitsomethought. The only reservation I have about that is it's the brain donors who think somebody else will clean up after them, will be proved right.

Me too, Milly, I've made a right tit of myself before now chasing a plastic bag around a carpark because it blew out of the back of the car when I got something out of the boot, I looked like a right wally. I get that you might drop a tissue or something accidentally but a lot of it is obviously just dumped when it's emptied and I just don't get it. Plus this is around our estate where they do have public bins and everyone's got a wheelie bin outside their house as well so it's not like there's nowhere to put it. I'm hoping we'll find treasure Just saw they're doing a beach clean on Saturday so I think we'll get our backsides down there and be a bit active instead of being a pair of lazy arses

I know what you mean, Vannie and it is a problem, it just magically disappears but then I think they must not mind living in their own shit or they wouldn't drop it all anyway? I feel better for doing it anyway and funnily enough my son copes much better with a walk if there's a purpose to it instead of just walking so he didn't moan as much as usual lol. It will probably all be back there tomorrow

Well done for trying to make a difference. I get sick of scummy arseholes dumping rubbish in the lanes around where i live, especially takeaway wreckage. Seemingly far too difficult to put it in a bag and dump in the wheelie bin when they get home. But its the selfish arrogant entitled culture we've acquired since the 80's. 'Someone else can deal with it, not my problem'.

Today ive done absolutely nothing, just too drained and lethargic....not that anyone will notice or worse, start nagging me that x y and z needs doing...
Which they do need doing but one don't worry about such matters and the universe doesnt care.

Well done you for your efforts and for sharing them so that other people can realise that talk is cheap and that its best to lead by example. I am always picking up litter and try to completely clean a beach or two every year after the winter storms.
A great thing to do with ones time as it is not only helping the planet but is also good exercise. well done again xx

Happy Friday all! Today, because it’s way too cold to go outside, just enjoying my usual TV show inside the house before heading the sack tonight.
