I've been watching Josh Wolfe on youtube, he's hilarious.
Also Micky Flanegan.

I don't find many of the younger comedians funny now? I don't know if it's my sense of humour that's changed, or if I'm just getting grumpier, but sometimes I watch something like Comedy Central and I find myself thinking I hear funnier conversations down the pub or on the bus? Not sure if it's just personal taste that changes over time or if I'm stuck in the past? But can remember literally crying with laughter at someone like Billy Connolly and now sometimes sitting through a show and barely smiling. Maybe it's because they have to water it down more on the telly than they used to? Do still find Stewart Lee really funny (and Billy Connolly). Will have to watch some of the clips posted on here to see if I can find someone a bit up to date who makes me chuckle

I'm planning on giving it a try, it sounds good. Mind you, I do like Persian food. Perhaps your friend made Imam bayildi, which is aubergines with olive oil, garlic, tomatoes, cinnamon and stuff, and is utterly delicious. Very rich, I make it as a special treat now and then. I've just remembered, I believe there is a Persian restaurant in Morpeth, which is quite doable. I tried to persuade my ex to go there with me when he lived in that town, but he wouldn't, so I shall go myself and try it out. 😋

Sad story, I lost touch with him when the ayatollah thing went rampant. I say sad because It didnt occur to me at the time that he could be in dire straits -unable to go home. Hope he fared well. He was a gentle soul.
