When i worked for myself i was working 18 to 20 hrs a day earning a shit load of money and had a nice house and land but no time to enjoy it. Now its gone and im back to living in a trailer 12 years...i miss not having the house but i dont miss the work and stress. I know which life i prefer.Rather be living on the edge of poverty and pleasing myself than chasing an imaginary lifestyle thats not all its cracked up to be. Money is nice but theres more to life and that costs you virtually nothing. If you want to live really well and cheaply the UK isnt the place. Them days have gone. Plenty of opportunities elsewhere though.

At the end of the nineties I bought a round the world ticket and was working down at the cornwall coliseum as the head ground keeper, well I actually called myself the environmental manager. anyway I would do the beach clean and the gardening all day and then was working in the on site night club doing the lighting and also cover dj for the resident dj. I was on four quid an hour and knew that if I was going to make the most of my trip I was going to have to put the hours in.
I did 120 hours a week for 6 months and after a while the only thing that kept me going was that if I stuck at it I would have an amazing trip around our beautiful planet without having to scrimp and save whilst en route. That focus was the only thing that kept me going as I was physically wiped out. I slept all the way to the airport on the bus then all the way to california on the plane where I got quite a few miles north of L.A got out my tent and slept for another long spell. After a few days of sleeping I was ready to enjoy the few thousand I had put aside from my hard graft. It was well worth doing.
Do not lose sight of your goal, eat as healthy as you can and keep a positive mindset and you should be able to get through it and achieve what you want. You have got the strengh to achieve almost anything in life, you just need to tap into a bit more sometimes to make your dreams become reality. I always find that one gets out of life what one puts into it.
Good luck and bon courage xx
