OK, I haven't rewad Treestump's link. I believe that Westminster are witholding the subsidies from the crofters. So, in or out of the EU, the crofters are no better off. Or have I missed something?

Bernie, I notice your quick enought to jump down my throat for apparently calling you a facist but I can't help notice your lack of speed at apologising for your over reaction. After all at no point in this thread or any other did I call you or insinuate you were a facist. If you can show me where I called YOU a facist I will happily retract my statement and appologise for it. If not info expect an apology

IT could be argued that you've missed about 160,000,000 things there but that's still no reason to leave the EU. More of a reason to over throw our own government and stay in the EU, at least that way the crofters would get there apparently unfair subsidies. Just because the British government robbed money from the crofters is not a valid argument on why we should leave the EU, unless I'm missing something?

Where did the convergence fund come from in the first place? Europe - they gave us the 160 million funding - thats a very good reason to stay in the EU Most of Wales and a very large chunk of England and Scotland would not have new schools hospitals and facilities built if it were not for EU funding. Westminster back pocketed it. The terms of that convergence fund were for the money to be delivered to Scotland because EU had already felt that Wales and England were within their budgets for agriculture from previous funding. www.welcomeurope.com/european-funds/cap-common-agricultural-policy-1068+968.html#tab=onglet_details

After all at no point in this thread or any other did I call you or insinuate you were a facist. If you can show me where I called YOU a facist I will happily retract my statement and appologise for it. If not info expect an apology First of all, don't start on me like that Mate because it really doesn't work, just believe it, I have been started on by professional experts in the past. I was a trade union senior rep for quite a number of years so nothing you could say is ever going to come close. It didn't work then and its not going to work now. second, it was you that said "anti EU facist propaganda" so don't try and swerve that one now by saying you never called me a fascist personally. The word fascist was there, and you said it, but don't worry I don't expect you to apologise. third, actually I had looked at treestump's post about ten minutes after he had posted it and before you started making assumptions about "brexiteers". That's what it was, an assumption. Don't ever make assumptions about me, full stop, and then think you can post it. I won't ever let that go. I make no bones about the fact that I totally don't like the EU, that's my view and I am entitled to it. I don't like big government so I see no reason why we would want another, even bigger, completely unaccountable, layer of big government on top of the one we already have. That just sucks You may not like it, you may not agree, but that is what I believe. If you want to debate the issues I will more than happily meet you half way and debate on here. In fact I would love to but not if you are going to kick off and get arsey. Also, reason I didn't reply earlier, I was at a funeral, so butt out regarding my "lack of speed" I will reply in my own time.

Oh for heaven sake! don't deny the remainers the bus to get angry about! Despite the fact that the figure is much higher and it wasn't an official bus anyway its all they have! Without the bus they have nothing, sad really, still, they have lost out. A loser is a loser however it happens.

The real truth of the matter is whilst we all bicker amongst ourselves the only buggers that are winning are the politicians and big business. Whether we stay or go or fanny about for 17 years.... WE THE PEASANTS WILL ALWAYS LOSE OUT.
Bickering is not the solution really and im all about finding solutions... we need to make our own stuff grow our own stuff and trade with each other.

Sorry for he delay in answering I was at a trade union funeral, that's a nice blog you two have referenced obviously I haven't read that crap as its an options and nothing to do wit facts.. Both of you being brexiteers I know you don't like real facts and far prefer the made up ones . Of course the lies on the bus is the only thing ppl have to be angry about, nothing o do with the economy getting shafted and all the ppl who have lost there jobs over brexit or the lack of investment I the uk because of this crap or the company's pulling there operations out of the country. Not to mention the opertunities that's been stolen from so many folk, what gives you the right to decide others future? . Need I point out more reasons to be angry??? Should I go into the lates economic forecast that show how the uk will still be in recession long after your all dead? Or should I point out how baby's born today or next week will grow up in the mess caused by folk who won't be around to see the outcome of there short sightless Bernie if you were the trade union represent or whatever you said you were then you should be able to read in English and be able to understand it, I can see you Must be struggling to understand what I said so I will repeat it and explain it for you. I said "anti Eu facist propaganda" at no point does that mean you are a facist it just means you are happy to belive the anti EU Facist Propoganda spouted by the likes of farage and boris. THere is a huge difference between beleving in something that's said and being part of it. THerefore I don't think you are a facist and never said you were, sorry for your confusion That's as close to an apology your going to get from me for something I didn't say. Read the words I said and you will see I didn't and have never accused you of being facist, I said you believed the facist propoganda, two different things. Lika, watch out there's a mooslim behind you, we all know how much you feel the need to warn the world of there danger

In fact I've had a think about this , since there is so many off you who belive that leaving the EU is a good thing show me what the positives are. If any of you can show me any positives that are fact based (not someone's opinion so no bullshit blogs actual facts) then I will shut up about it. I promise if you lot can come up with any actual facts on why we will be better off I will never mention it again! Can't say much fairer than that now can I?
I also notice you lot haven't mentioned how he EU is unelected much latkey, is that something to do with the elections we had recently?

I'm out of this. Don't think it's because I don't have anything to add. I just don't see any point in arguing with friends, about something I can't change. There was a referendum. The government didn't like the result. Never mind what the people that voted want, the government will pull every last trick to make sure it doesn't happen. That's what I mean by arguing about something I can do nothing about.

Main reason ive pretty well avoided the internet for a month or so. Tired of reading the same crap from the same crap peddlers and useless politicians on both sides of the fence and sitting on it. I may be British by birth and official paperwork but thats where it ends. The bigotry ive experienced in the past because of my family background has just come crawling from under the stones so Brexit has at least made it far easier to spot and avoid, including people i might have once considered friends.Im applying for citizenship elsewhere.
It doesnt exactly fill me with joy that Britain is almost certain to have Boris the buffoon as PM.
Corbyn may as well go back to his allotment for all the use he is.
Im not for a moment suggesting the EU is perfect,it needs reform, but Britain has happily gone along with it for 40 years, helping construct much of the legislation Brexiteers now complain about and Britain has done nothing to push reform when it had ample chance and the clout to do so.
Were it a case of Britain being permanently at the head of and leading the EU we wouldnt even be having this discussion. British and Britons dont do partnerships or being lead though.Rather destroy everything than be partners with foriners..
As has already been pointed out,the people who crave the British Empire's return will all be long dead and buried before anything remotely good comes from EU exit, leaving the youngsters(including my own) a heap of shit to deal with.
Blue passports though.
