Gives the police a lot of personal power - thats the sort of rule to introduce if you cant aford to pay your cops. Ie they collect their wages in bribes.
but what ever, it doesnt bode well.

I am listening to James O'Brian on LBC. More and more people are saying they will be happy to be arrested. Be careful what you wish for! Arrest is arrest. In real life, it doesn't matter if it's murder or shoplifting. Obviously, the curts are sooooo busy, I don't think the police will follow arrest with charges or conviction.
I still think that the protesters have to tread a fine line. They are very close to falling on to the side of losing the support of ordinary people.
